DUNDEE: Celebrating International Beer Day

Beer Day is now celebrated in 207 cities, 50 countries and on 6 continents all across the globe

Fancy a little drink today?

Why not? It is International Beer Day today.

Started in the United States of America in 2007, Beer Day is now celebrated in 207 cities, 50 countries and on 6 continents all across the globe. And while many will see this as an excuse to have a cold one today, beer can used for a variety of other things, not just as a drink.

Just some of the things that beer can be used for is marinating meat, soaking your feet in (the acidity of beer and the bacteria in the yeast gives off nutrients that soak into your skin and repair hair follicles), cleaning pots, pans and even jewelry and also for making your hair shinier.

Beer can also be healthy, when consumed in moderation. Beer is more nutritious than other alcohols and it can also help protect your heart. Beer can also help prevent kidney stones, it lowers bad cholesterol and it helps strengthen your bones.

But if you want to be truly different this year in your celebration of International Beer Day, why not try your hand at Deep Fried Beer. You can find the recipe for it HERE.
