Ladysmith KZN: 5 arrested for stolen car, firearm and ammo
It was discovered that the firearm was stolen in Johannesburg
Five suspects were arrested in a stolen car with a stolen gun and ammunition by Ekuvukeni Vispol officers.
The officers were conducting crime prevention duties on the Limehill main road in Ekuvukeni when they stopped and searched a red VW Golf.
A firearm and ammunition was found in the vehicle, and it was established that the driver had no firearm licence. When checked, it was discovered that the firearm was stolen in Johannesburg.
The car was also found to be a stolen vehicle.

All five occupants were arrested and detained at Ezakheni police station.
A possession of stolen property docket has been opened for further investigation.
