Levi bagged a 5.8kg carp on the overnight fishing trip
Levi Mungroo, a young fisherman from Ladysmith, recently headed out on a cold, crisp winter’s morning to do some fishing with his family. Levi loves fishing and says that his grandad taught him all the tricks of the trade.
“I enjoy fishing with my dad, my grandfather and my uncle,” he says.
It was a spontaneous overnight fishing trip, during which little Levi bagged a whopping 5.8kg carp.

The water level, according to Levi, was pretty low and it took him hours to get a bite.
The Tugela River is his favourite place to cast in his line.
“I aim to be a master fisherman one day,” smiles Levi.
