A family lost everything in a house fire this afternoon (July 22) in Harrismith Road.
The cause is not known at this stage.
However, it is believed that a young child was alone in the house when the fire started.

Public Safety, SANDF, fire-fighters and emergency personnel responded to the scene.
All authorities battled the blaze and eventually managed to extinguish the flames. Unfortunately, everything in the house was destroyed.
Emergency personnel treated a few people on scene for smoke inhalation and minor injuries.
