Ladysmith KZN: Medical supplies land in town

They flew to Durban to pick up Covid-19 results and supplies for a local pharmacy

Local pilot Cornell Blok and his wife, Leonie, took to the skies this morning (July 16) and made their way to Durban in their airplane to pick up medical supplies and lab results.

Due to the roads being closed and with the global Covid-19 pandemic being in its third wave, a local laboratory needed Covid-19 results for residents waiting anxiously.

Ladysmith Alpha Pharmacy needed to stock up on medication as well.

The plane took under an hour to reach Durban. “The weather was great,” commented Mr Blok.
