Heeding the call to protect and preserve our town, the hundreds of men (and some women) have been stationed at strategic points where they are searching passing vehicles to ensure that no one has ill intentions.

One of the members out on patrol said that they had made 30 arrests yesterday (July 14) after people travelling along the R103 from the Frere side were found with fridges.

This evening, a reporter from the Estcourt News joined the members that were on patrol to get a feel of what it happening on the ground. (SEE OUR FACEBOOK PAGE FOR THE LIVE VIDEO)
