The SAPS, traffic officers, security officials and volunteers are currently monitoring entrances to Dundee following a threat that outside mobs would loot Dundee businesses today.

Endumeni is currently all quiet and most shops closed at lunch time.

Some garages remain open, however.

Residents are urged to remain at home for now. Many residents have called the Courier to thank all those who have so bravely defended the town.
