The Dannhauser Local Municipality will be closed today (12/7) and tomorrow (13/7), ahead of anticipated public unrest in town.
The Municipality will reopen on Wednesday (14/7) if tensions have eased by then.
Standard Bank have also made the decision to close their branches throughout KZN, ahead of planned shut-down of the province.
Roads in Dannhauser were blocked last night, however, most of the streets remain open. Remnants of debris could be found around the town.
Motorists travelling to Dundee reported that rocks were littered across the road at Hattingspruit but that they could still get through.
