Two people died in a collision at the entrance to Dannhauser this morning.
Both victims were travelling into Dannhauser in a bakkie.
They then collided with a silver coloured bakkie, travelling on the Newcastle entrance to the town.
Workers at the nearby Shell Garage said only a barrier of plants and concrete prevented the silver bakkie from ploughing into the petrol pumps.
A fridge that had been on the back of the bakkie was found on the scene.
The stop sign for traffic entering from the Newcastle side of the intersection had also been flattened. Emergency services are currently on scene.
