A 54-year-old man has been charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm in Nongoma. The Zululand task team swooped on the man’s home in the KwaNgwabe area after they received a tip-off. During the search, they discovered a black AK-47 rifle with no serial number and two empty magazines under the suspect’s bed. The man was arrested and taken to Nongoma police station. He is set to appear in the Nongoma Magistrate’s Court today (July 8).
