Ladysmith KZN: ML Sultan carport damaged in crash
The driver was badly injured and rushed to hospital
A motorist was driving in Kandahar Avenue this afternoon (July 3) when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle.
The car crashed into the concrete gate of ML Sultan Primary School and into the carport area, which is secured by palisade fencing.
The school’s carport was damaged in the crash, with the roof of the carport coming to rest on the shattered windscreen of the vehicle.
The driver was badly injured and rushed to hospital by ambulance.
The driver’s sister says the cause of the accident was brake failure.

ML Sultan school principal Donna Iyer was shocked when she arrived at the scene and saw the damage.
Security services, towing services and Traffic Department officials were at the scene.
