Ladysmith KZN: Burst water pipe and uThukela call centre is unreachable?

"When I'm transferred to the relevant department, no one picks up"

A resident from Milkwood Road in the Acaciavale area is up in arms with uThukela. She says that there’s been a pool of water since last week after a pipe burst, allowing water to go to waste.

She has tried numerous times to contact uThukela’s call centre, in vain. ”If I’m lucky enough, I will get hold of an employee after a long period of time and when I’m transferred to the relevant department, no one picks up.”

“It’s a nightmare to get hold of uThukela and it’s extremely frustrating. I don’t understand why they don’t pick up the phone,” explained the resident.

“We pay our bills and taxes, but simply don’t receive any service delivery.”

uThukela has been approached for comment, but has not responded.
