Ladysmith KZN: Car veers off N3 and crashes into dam

The Hyundai was travelling along the N3 in the Ladysmith area when it was allegedly pushed off the roadway by another vehicle.

 

The car veered far off the roadway, went down an embankment and into a dam adjacent to the N3.

It only came to a stop when it crashed into the water and the reeds in the dam. Fortunately, the water was not deep and the occupants could get out by themselves. They were unscathed.

 

The vehicle had to be pulled out of the water and towed away from the scene.

 

RTI, N3TC and a towing service responded to the scene.
