Since yesterday afternoon (June 16) parts of Ladysmith have been without electricity.
By late yesterday evening most areas had their power supply restored. Some areas, however, were without electricity throughout the night and into today.

Several faults were detected and temporary repairs were made in some areas yesterday.
Today electricians are making urgent permanent repairs were needed and slowly starting to restoring power to places that have been without power since yesterday. No timeline has been given to when repairs will be completed.
