ESTCOURT KZN: Golfers take to the course with vigour

On June 19, the club will be hosting Phiwe Mabaso Memorial Day

The recent winter days did not keep our golfers at bay.

On May 22, the Estcourt Golf Club hosted a Melton Schiever Farm Fundraising Golf Day, we had a field of 86 golfers with a shotgun start at 10am.
It was a fun day with every golfer receiving a prize and a few special prizes especially chosen by the sponsor Melton Schiever. A huge thank you to Mr Schiever, his family and their sponsors.

On May 29, the club hosted a Skaapdag, which was sponsored by Epol, Optimizor, Molatek and Sizwe. Thank you all for the generous sponsorship. It was a successful Skaapdag with 59 golfers on the course. Thank you Neale White for organizing the event.

On June 5, the club hosted the Mortimer Monthly Mug.

The May monthly mug winner went to Rajen Goodoon on a nett of 67. Second was Shrey Harrynarain on a nett of 73 count out and third went to Melton Schiever on a nett of 73 count out.

Stableford winner was Rajen Goodoon on 41 points, with second place going to Shrey Harrynarain on 35 points. In third place was Melton Schiever on 35 points and fourth Fred Vickers also on 35 points.

The Brokenshas Multi Franchise Best Gross winner went to Bruce Marx on 73 points. The Gerry’s Motors closest to the pin on number two went to David Diedricks and hole number seven to Rajen Goodoon.

Paddy Geraty ready to get his game started.

Two clubs winners were Paddy Geraty and Shane Mothilal. The jackpot winner on 11 points went to Paddy Geraty.
