Yesterday (June 9), police intercepted a suspicious-looking bakkie that was found to be transporting counterfeit goods with an estimated value of R700,000. The vehicle was travelling on the R69 Vryheid / Hlobane road. Upon searching the vehicle, police discovered bales of various brands of counterfeit sneakers. A 30-year-old suspect was arrested and appeared in the Vryheid Magistrate’s Court for possession of counterfeit goods.
