GLENCOE KZN: Sarel Cilliers serves up great tennis

Cricket has always been a very popular sport at Sarel CIlliers, with some top players on the teams.

Tennis players from Sarel Cilliers have been training rigorously with coach Freddie Venter over the past few weeks. Kitted out in their new tracksuits, the team is all set to challenge other players at the KZN Tennis Trials on June 18, 19 and 20.

Zemichké Snyman, Anuscha Slabbert and Michel Erasmus are our future tennis stars and we wish them the best of luck. Sarel Cilliers is supporting the SPCA in an organised charity drive and is asking learners to please bring collars, leads, tins of pet food, dry food and blankets to support the animals in need. Items can be brought to school and will be delivered later this month.

Please support. Staff at Sarel Cilliers recently attended a course on coaching cricket, learning new methods of training, and vital tips and strategies to pass on to learners in the future.

Cricket has always been a very popular sport at Sarel CIlliers, with some top players on the teams. Mr S Govender, Mr Dube, Mrs L Slabbert and Mr S Joubert will be passing on the valuable information they learned to the cricket players when sports training resumes. The control test timetable will be available shortly.

Learners are encouraged to make the most of the colder weather by using the time indoors to focus on their studies.
