Ladysmith KZN: Kandahar Avenue the latest victim of illegal dumping

“People need to stop throwing their rubbish on vacant pieces of land”

Residents of the Leonardsville area are up in arms about the illegal dumping taking place.

This problem is not only prevalent in Leonardsville, but in other areas of Ladysmith as well.

Kandahar Avenue (Leonardsville area) seems to be the latest victim of illegal dumping.

Residents feel that the municipality is shirking its responsibility when it comes to going out and cleaning up the vacant plots of land that people have decided to turn into makeshift dump sites.

The general consensus is that illegal dumping is getting worse day by day.

“People need to stop throwing their rubbish on vacant pieces of land. Not only does it stink, but it makes the whole area look filthy. These unhygienic conditions are unacceptable,” said IFP Councillor L Bhoobun.
