NEWCASTLE KZN: Amajuba District honours sport, arts and culture legends

Among the recipients of the night was international wheelchair tennis sensation, Lucas Sithole.

At its first ever Amajuba Sports, Arts and Culture Legendary Awards, the Amajuba District Municipality sought to acknowledge, recognise and honour those who made a meaningful contribution in their respective fields.

The awards took place at Blackrock Casino at the end of May and was hosted by the ADM in partnership with the Department of Arts and Culture and the Department of Sports and Recreation.

In his speech to the award recipients, ADM Mayor, Dr Musa Ngubane said he firmly believed sport, arts and culture had the potential to change lives for the better, and he urged those in attendance to share their stories.
