Ladysmith KZN: Caxton Cares about the animals at the AACL

As a Caxton Cares initiative, the Ladysmith Gazette has decided to step in and help...

With winter in full swing, animal shelters are in ‘panic station’ mode. Many people are dumping their cats and dogs at the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) kennels, as they cannot afford to feed them in these economically trying times.

As a ‘Caxton Cares’ initiative, the Ladysmith Gazette has decided to step in and is now a drop-off point for AACL donations, which means that all blankets and dog / cat food can be left in the box at reception (San Marco Centre, Shop 29B).

There are not enough ‘beds’ and blankets to keep the poor animals warm at night, and the AACL is desperately asking for any old blankets, towels, pillows or any pieces of material (even bathroom or door mats) you may have lying around. Please think of the poor dogs and cats that must endure the terrible cold at night, and see if you have ANYTHING you can donate to improve their quality of life. It doesn’t matter if it’s old and torn blankets or towels; they will be used.

Your contribution will be highly appreciated. Remember, Caxton Cares, so drop off your donations today in the box at reception. The address, again, is San Marco Centre, Shop 29B.
