ESTCOURT KZN: Refuse removal interruptions are expected
The refuse compactors require urgent mechanical attention
Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality has issued a statement, alerting locals that there will be interruptions in the refuse removal from May 28-31.
This is expected to affect residential areas.
Municipal Manager Patrick Mkhize cited the following reasons for the interruptions:
• The refuse compactors require urgent mechanical attention.
• The municipality is in the process of implementing an alternative plan while the refuse compactors are being repaired.
“We therefore urge the public not to place their waste on the pavement for collection on the above-mentioned dates.
“The public will be notified accordingly on May 31 on progress in terms of the service.
“The inconvenience is regrettable, however an alternative plan will be in place from June 1,” commented Mr Mkhize.
