GLENCOE KZN: VIDEO: Authorities search for survivors at Glencoe crash site
The driver has not been located as yet but he is believed to be dead at this stage
Rescue personnel are still sifting through the rubble at the scene of an accident, where a truck ploughed into a Biggar Street home.
Ward Councillor, Bashir Khan and Speaker, Lucky Khumalo and Mayor, Sduduzo Mdluli, are also on scene at the moment. The road has since been closed off.
It is understood that the home was used as a dormitory for workers. Police at the scene have confirmed one casualty in the house.
A passenger from the truck is also being treated on scene. Witnesses said that he jumped from the truck as it hurtled out of control down Biggar Street North.
At this stage emergency services have not been able to locate the truck driver. He is presumed dead at this stage
