It was a derby weekend at Bhekuzulu Open Ground when Vryheid Liverpool FC locked horns with Bhekuzulu United FC on Saturday.
Kick-off was at 3pm. This is one of the biggest matches in the SAFA Abaqulusi stream because of the huge support these teams command in Bhekuzulu location. The game lived up to expectation and fans came out in numbers to cheer for their team. It was 2-1 at half-time, to Bhekuzulu United. Vryheid Liverpool was one man short after one of their defenders, Macomedy, was given a red card. The second half produced another two goals, one apiece. This meant that the game ended 3-2, with Bhekuzulu United winning the encounter.
