NEWCASTLE KZN: Charity begins at home for high school staff and learners

Volkies put their money where their hearts are to give back.

Volksrust High School students and staff continue to astound their societies with their willing ‘gift of the giving spirit’ year after year.

“This year is no exception, as the group and our fellow Volkies put their money where their hearts are and give, give, give,” says Katinka Stokes, a Volksrust High student.

According to Katinka, one of the school’s most cherished Volkies, Jana Magudulela and her team, helped the Grade 11 A1 class by selling delicious hamburgers, pancakes and more to help out fellow Volkies in raising money for a cause that dear to their hearts.

“Thank you Aunty Jana, her team and the entire Grade 11 A1 class for their exceptional sales. We honestly took this year’s Adopt-a-Kid to a new level,” she concluded.
