The Umzinyathi District Municipality has warned residents against a new scam doing the rounds in the area.
Scammers posing as Umzinyathi District Municipality employees are calling suppliers on the municipal database and asking for money in exchange for tenders.
The Municipality has urged anyone who receives such a call to report the matter to the nearest SAPS immediately.
