Two people were injured this morning (April 19) in a truck crash on the N3 at the Tugela River. The accident took place on the southbound carriageway.
It is believed that one truck was broken down at the side of the road when another truck rear-ended it.
The jaws-of-life had to be used to free one of the injured, who was trapped in the wreckage.

One person sustained serious injuries, and another moderate injuries.
Emergency services, Fire & Rescue, RTI and towing services responded to the scene.
