Ladysmith KZN: Trees grow “out of control” and block driveway
"I pay rates and I still have to fork out money to trim the branches"
An angry resident from Rangoon Road says the municipality doesn’t come and clean up, nor do they cut or trim trees in the street that are ‘growing out of control’.
She is now fed up with calling and getting no help from the ‘powers that be’.Â
The resident complains that, on a monthly basis, she has to hire a private gardening service to cut the branches, as they are an obstruction in her driveway.

She says the money comes out of her pocket and on top of that, she has to pay rates, which makes no sense to her.Â
The municipality has not yet commented on this issue.
