A collision on Allen Street last night has claimed the life of a local motorcyclist.
According to reports, a motorcycle and a vehicle collided head-on on the stretch between Drakensberg and HJ van Eck Drives. The motorcyclist did unfortunately not survive the crash.
The road was closed temporarily while emergency services responded to the collision scene.
The Newcastle Advertiser extends its condolences to the family of the deceased.
