Pastor of Well Church in Newcastle, Andre Swanepoel is fighting for his life at a hospital in Johannesburg.
It is believed Andre was bitten by a tick or a spider in mid-March. Since then, his health has taken a dramatic turn and his condition is described as ‘critical and very unstable’.
Gerda van Reenen, whose husband Japie runs the church Facebook page, has been providing updates on Andre’s condition and the community is asked to keep him in their prayers.
“Good morning everyone. Andre still has no change. He is bleeding from his nose again today and they will give him blood this afternoon. Please keep praying,” read a message forwarded on by Gerda.
