ESTCOURT KZN: Special evening for Loskop’s top matric achievers

To all who have contributed to the upliftment of education in Loskop, this serves as an encouragement to persevere

It was a proud moment for the Loskop area to celebrate three top matric achievers of 2020 in the top 10 of the Estcourt District Circuit.

Young Lwandiso Phakamani Mpembe from Amahlubi High School placed second and achieved seven A’s, with 98% in Physical Science and 90% in Mathematics. He has been accepted at the University of Pretoria to study Mechanical Engineering.

Thandolwethu Talent Hadebe from Ngibongeleni High School placed fourth and also achieved seven A’s. He has been accepted at the University of KwaZulu-Natal to study Medicine.

Mukelisiwe Purity Hadebe from Bonokuhle High School placed eighth and achieved five A’s. She has been accepted at the University of Johannesburg to study Teaching.

Despite the setbacks of Covid-19 and the disruption to the academic year, the above learners truly excelled in the matric exams. A big congratulations to the principals and educators who contributed to these excellent results.

Champagne Sports Resort hosted the three top achievers, along with some parents and principals, at a dinner on March 9 to congratulate them on their outstanding achievements and to wish them well in their future endeavours.

To all who have contributed to the upliftment of education in Loskop, this serves as an encouragement to persevere.
