A tyre business situated on the corner of Thompson Road and Newcastle Road caught alight last night (Monday, March 22).
Mr I Ameer, who owns INS Auto Repairs, went to his workshop to fetch some items and saw that the tyre shop (situated next door) was on fire. The Fire Department and police were already on scene, fighting the blaze.
Mr Ameer’s premises was also slightly damaged in the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
