The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) was back in town on March 11.
Setting up at the Estcourt Methodist Church, the friendly staff welcomed potential blood donors from 11am until 6pm.
The target was 56 units of blood.
Support from Estcourtonians helped the SANBS to collect 50 pints of blood.
When you donate a pint of blood, you are saving three lives, including pregnant women and those who have been involved in serious road accidents.
If you are over 16 years old, lead a healthy lifestyle and weigh more than 50 kilograms, why not consider donating a pint of blood during the next community blood drive, which will be held on the second Thursday of April.
