Eskom has announced that load-shedding will be reduced to Stage 1 until 5am on Saturday morning (March 20).
However, Newcastle Municipality has indicated that power disruptions will still take place and geysers will not be switched off.
“Residents are urged to make necessary arrangements before power is disrupted,” read a statement issued by the municipal Communications Unit.
Appliances and connections should still be treated as live.
