Estcourt High School held its annual awards ceremony on February 26.
However, this year’s function was a far cry from the school’s usual awards presentation.
In accordance with Covid-19 protocol, only Grade 12 learners, parents, guests and some staff were allowed to be part of this prestigious event.

Principal Dave Diedrick said that while Covid-19 brought “turmoil” in 2020, with “time stolen” from the academic year, the Grade 12s had benefited the most, with lessons and extra lessons continuing either in the classroom or online.
