Our very own local featherweight boxer, Sthembiso Maduna, is ready for another challenging fight against a boxing ‘giant’ from Johannesburg.
Maduna, from the Steadville area, will take on Jeff Magagane in an African Boxing Union (ABU) fight at the Pinetown Civic Centre today (Saturday, February 27).
According to event organiser Zandile Malinga from Starline Boxing Promotions, the fight will take place under strict Covid-19 regulations and will have no spectators.

“This fight will be broadcast live on 1KZN TV from 1pm to 4pm, so all sports lovers can catch it live.”
Speaking to our local fighter, Maduna says there is no turning back now. “I believe I am fit enough for this fight, as I started training hard last year December, so I think I’m ready for the encounter.”
