Ladysmith KZN: Mayor congratulates the matrics of 2020

From here onward, only the sky is your limit - Mayor Vincent Madlala

2020 wasn’t an easy year, as it was filled with many hurdles, not least of which was the Covid-19 pandemic. The impact was felt by all, including learners at school and especially the matrics.

Alfred Duma Local Municipality Mayor Vincent Madlala sends his heartfelt congratulations and well-wishes to the ‘Class of 2020’…

“Your dedication and hard work has finally reaped benefits. The many challenges to education that were brought on by the lockdown meant you were away from class for months. We applaud you for having gone the extra mile and achieved the results you received under the above-mentioned circumstances.

To those who did not achieve the results they wanted, Mayor Madlala said they must not give up on their dreams.

“To those who did not make it, may I just reiterate that this is not the end; life has more to offer and you can still succeed provided that you make the necessary adjustments to your academic results and improve them through the available support in institutions of education.

“I would like to assure all those who need assistance in following up on registrations that our Youth Development Office is available to help with the use of computers, the Internet, etc. As the municipality, we strive to see the best of the best in our learners.

“Once again, congratulations to you all! From here onward, only the sky is your limit.”
