The origins of Love Your Pet Day may not be known, but its popularity picked up in the early 2000s. Love Your Pet Day is all about spoiling your precious pet and paying extra attention to them.
You can do this in a variety of ways. Why not buy them a special treat or a new toy or take them for a walk?
You can also spoil them with more hugs and kisses (though cats may not like that).
