DUNDEE KZN: Fiber is coming to town

Company begins installing of fiber optic cables in town

If you’re wondering why there’s so much digging taking place around the town, worry not, it’s just Fiber coming to town.

Fiber is a broadband connection which provides faster internet speeds than wireless internet.

The technology uses fiber-optic cables, which amazingly can send data as fast as about 70% the speed of light.

Areas have been demarcated and barricaded off where trenches will be dug.

Britelink, the company responsible for the digging around town, are hoping to be done with the initial project in the next three months.

They will be covering Glencoe as well. Locals labour will also be employed to assist with the project.
