Ladysmith KZN: Pupils back at school, learning Covid-19 protocols

"Learners will be alternating, as we are still faced with the pandemic and we cannot have all the grades at one time"

With many schools re-opening their gates to learners today (February 15), platooning (sub-dividing) and alternating days / weeks are on the cards for KwaZulu-Natal pupils.

Keate Street Primary School also welcomed their learners today, with the Grade 1s being taught all the Covid-19 regulations and how to wash their hands properly.

“The learners will be alternating, as we are still faced with the Covid-19 pandemic and we cannot have all the grades at one time. 2020 was not an easy year for us, as we were working under a lot of pressure.

“The learners tried their very best and my dedicated staff members / educators worked tirelessly, and for that I can be proud. I hope that in 2021, we will again work as a team, as teamwork makes the dream work,” said Keate Street Primary School principal Mrs Ndaba.
