Ladysmith KZN: Mayor hands over water pump in Roosboom

uThukela District Mayor Siphiwe Mazibuko visited Roosboom’s phase 1 area on Wednesday (February 10) to hand over a ‘water hand pump’ to the community.

 

The mayor also introduced Sydwalt, represented by Mr Kunene, who will be dealing with transforming the other water hand pump in the area into a borehole.

 

The mayor explained that the hand pump is aimed at assisting the community while technicians are still busy working on the system of standpipes.

Ward Cllr Kubheka, together with members of the community, were very pleased that the mayor has kept his promise to help, as this hand pump was badly needed. Water supply has been a problem in Roosboom for some time now and this gesture comes as a great relief to the community.
