DUNDEE KZN: Municipality starts pavement clean up

Work has started to improve the aesthetics and safety of the town

Following mounting criticism of the state of the town, especially in the central business district, the Endumeni Municipality has started making moves to clean up.

Workers are currently clearing away encroaching grass and weeds that have enveloped most pavements in town.

The state of many pavements is also of concern with the Endumeni Residents’ Association last week criticising the shabby look of the town.

The Municipality has now responded. A move to fill in many of the potholes – in a response to Mpati residents doing a DIY job on Majuba Street – has already started although residents in Strathmore Park, say Hosking Street is now ‘disappearing as nature takes over’.

A fuller response is expected soon from the Municipality which will be published.
