DUNDEE KZN: Attempted murder case opened after five shots fired

The motive for the shooting is not yet known

Dundee SAPS are investigating a charge of attempted murder after two people narrowly escaped injury or worse when an unknown gunman opened fire on them.

SAPS said the shooting took place in the early hours of Sunday in the Sibongile area. Five cartridges were later found on the scene. It is not yet clear what the motive for the shooting was.

SAPS also reported an armed robbery at a business on Beaconsfield Street on Saturday where cash valued at over R21 000 and several cellphones were taken.
