WEENEN KZN: 15-year-old shot dead

A 15-year-old was shot and killed in the Manseleni area in Tugela Estates, Weenen.

Police made the tragic discovery when they were called to the area on January 23 after complaints of a shooting.

When they arrived in Manseleni at about 8.30pm, the lifeless body of the teenager was found on the floor, covered with a blanket.

“The police found two 303 live rounds next to the deceased. The deceased was shot in the upper part of the body,” said police spokesperson Captain Bongani Nyathi.

A case of murder is being investigated by Weenen police.
