Ladysmith KZN: Colenso police station closes after officers test positive for Covid

The building will be decontaminated and services will resume normally as soon as the decontamination process has been completed

All communities serviced by Colenso SAPS are advised that this police station has been temporarily closed. This is due to the fact that two of its members at the Colenso Satellite POP Unit tested positive for the Covid-19 virus on Monday (January 11).

The Community Service Centre (CSC) will now operate from the cell block, which is at the police station, for the convenience of the community.

To access the station, community members can call 0364223144 for all emergencies and complaints, which will be attended to accordingly.

The telephone lines at Colenso police station’s CSC will not be accessible for the duration of the closure. However, service delivery will not be hampered.

The building will be decontaminated and services will resume normally at the station as soon as the decontamination process has been completed.

SAPS management apologises for any inconvenience that may arise. Station Commander Captain KR Johnson can also be contacted on 0824181690
