Ladysmith KZN: Ways to keep your child busy during the holidays

The holiday period is great fun for many, but for a parent, keeping the children busy every day from morning ‘til night can become tiresome and demanding.

Here are some exciting ways to keep your children busy and happy for the entire holiday period.

• Outdoor activities are always a draw-card, as children love to be outdoors playing soccer or cricket or even climbing trees.
• Fun board games are great, as they can keep your child busy and also keep their minds working during the holidays before going back to school.
• Water games – like a slip ‘n slide, water guns or even a pool – will come in handy, as the December heat can get to everyone and they can cool down with water games.

Remember to always watch over your child if they are in a pool. Never leave them alone.

At nighttime, there are many great animation movies out there that can keep them occupied and help the young ones fall asleep.
