Ladysmith KZN: Town library closed due to Covid-19

A review of the decision and situation will be conducted in the first week of January 2021

Alfred Duma Local Municipality has released a notice to confirm that management has taken a decision to temporarily close the Ladysmith Town Library.

This is in light of the fact that a municipal employee has tested positive for Covid-19 and all other employees based at the library were all ‘direct contacts’.

Health practitioners have instructed that all employees at the library be in self-quarantine, hence the temporary closure of the library. A review of the decision and situation will be conducted in the first week of January 2021, and the public will be advised accordingly as to when library services will commence.

The municipality is highly apologetic for the inconvenience caused and they further emphasise that everyone is required to comply with all Covid-19 health and safety protocols, as guided by the regulations.
