Ladysmith KZN: House not fixed for 8 years after hailstorm

Other houses in the area were recently fixed, but not their house

The Maharaj residents of Celosia Crescent have been running from pillar to post to have their house fixed after the freak hailstorm in December 2012.

Mr Maharaj says he has tried his very best to get his house fixed by the municipality, yet, for eight years, nothing has been done for him and his family.

He has now given up, as whatever he was told by the municipality has not happened. With every storm or gust of wind, the damage to his house gets worse day by day.

The roof leaks and the ceiling boards are falling apart, so the problem worsens after each downpour.

Mr Maharaj hopes the municipality will finally attend to his problem, as eight years is a long time to wait for your life to return to normal.

Other houses in the area were recently fixed, but not their house.
