NEWCASTLE KZN: Fire Services kitted out with new rescue tools (VIDEO)

State-of-the-art equipment has bolstered the capabilities of Fire Services in Newcastle.

State-of-the-art Jaws of Life and other rescue equipment have pushed Newcastle Fire Services to the level of metropolitan municipalities in KwaZulu-Natal.

The new rescue tools were handed over yesterday (November 26), at Community Safety on Albert Wessels Drive.

Included in the morning’s formalities was a demonstration of the sheer power of the new Jaws of Life, used to rescue a dummy from a wrecked vehicle.
