A 70-year-old man was stabbed to death in Roosboom, Emanqatheni area, on Sunday afternoon, November 15.
According to Ladysmith police spokesperson Captain Bongani Nyathi, the elderly man was allegedly stabbed by his niece.

It is alleged that there was an altercation between the deceased and the suspect, who pulled out a knife and stabbed the man once before running away.
The victim was taken to Ladysmith Provincial Hospital, where he later died.
Ladysmith police have opened a murder docket and are investigating the case.
