An intelligence driven operation, conducted in the Osizweni policing area on November 9, resulted in one suspect taken into custody for being in possession of drugs.
According to Lizzy Arumugam of Newcastle SAPS Corporate Communications, police officials raided a home in Section A.
“Officers recovered seven full Mandrax tables and a half piece of Mandrax. They also recovered R200 cash,” confirmed Arumugam.
The suspect (38) was arrested and has made a court appearance at the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court.
The estimated value of the recovered Mandrax tablets was said to be approximately R800.
